Thanks for clicking. I appreciate you being here. Sooo…why not give you a little background on who I am and what I do.

My name is Timothy Carter and I’m the guy behind SocialNetworkingLifestyle.com and @timothycarter on Twitter.

I’m 39 years old living in Seattle, Washington. I’m currently the full time Social Media Manager for Click2Rank, a search marketing firm where I manage the social media voices for 5 different companies, write social media blog posts for Click2Rank & provide social media audits.

I started utilizing “social networking” when there wasn’t a name for what I did in 1997 on AOL (America Online) to build relationships & find people interested in starting a home business. For five years I worked at home full time by networking with people on AOL via email & Instant Messenger which grew to thousands of people in over a dozen countries. Then the company I was with got themselves in trouble with the FDA & FTC for their marketing claims & ultimately got themselves shut down because of it. That cost me my financial freedom and plunged me back into the work force in sales & property management until 2008 when a car accident nearly took my life.

So I had to relearn a way to make a living. Social media was the channel that would give me the opportunity to shift my career.

SocialNetworkingLifestyle.com is a blog about creating a living and living a lifestyle with social media networking. Millions of people around the world have started Twitter accounts, Facebook pages, blogs, Tumblr accounts over the last few years. Many of them are personal & private to family and friends, but an increasing number of people are looking to use social media networking to start a business and make an income from home due to these economic times or to boost their small business.

Unfortunately many people don’t earn enough money to buy themselves a single cup of coffee every month because they don’t know how to EFFECTIVELY utilize the social media tools and networking methods to establish connections and relationships with people.

Social Networking Lifestyle is a blog that aims to share with you the tools & resource entrepreneurs need to make their social media networking better and in doing so, increase their potential earnings from home. Here are some testimonials of what I’ve done to help people with social media marketing.

While common sense would dictate that reading my blog doesn’t guarantee you’ll make a full time living from your social networking endeavors but it will hopefully help you to see the power & potential of social media, explore the world of social networking, and ultimately pursue the goal of living a passion driven life by building a business around your passions while improve social media networking skills as well as develop personal brand and influence.
