I don’t know about you, but 2008 was a great year for me outside of the car accident over a year ago. Out of the many wonderful things I was a part of and learned about, I was thrilled to be made aware of my rapidly growing influence in the world of Social Media. And into spring of 2009, it continues to grow.

In late 2008 I received some cool recognition that I was really honored to have. Ron Hudson of Immediate Influence fame, came out with the companion to his 50 of the Most Powerful and Influential Women in Social Media with the flipside of the gender spectrum with the 50 Most Powerful and Influential Men in Social Media list.

I found myself among many of my peers, several of my friends, and a few guys I admire and made spot number 35 in my first official year being active utilizing social media networking. I will be the first to say that there are a number of people that really should have been on that list that aren’t…but based on the criteria of Ranking, how much traffic their website or blog generated, many outranked other tremendous
individuals.

So, I will just say a BIG THANK YOU Mr. Ron Hudson and thank you to those individuals who nominated me. In 2009, I’ve been passionately pursuing ways to continue to help others learn and grow in utilizing social media to increase their influence in whatever passion they pursue. Social media is a “world” that is filled with many amazing people and I am truly blessed to be counted among some of the top in the world.
